You can manage your connected LinkedIn accounts directly from the Accountspage inside ConnectSafely. There are two different actions available — and it's important to understand the difference before acting.
🔄 Reconnect
Re-authenticates the same LinkedIn account — keeps everything intact.
🗑️ Delete Account
Completely removes the LinkedIn account from ConnectSafely.
Where to Manage Your Account
- Log into ConnectSafely
- Click Accounts from the left sidebar
- Under Personal Accounts, locate your LinkedIn profile

The Accounts page showing the Change Proxy, Reconnect, and Delete Account buttons under a connected LinkedIn profile.
🔄 When to Use "Reconnect"
Use Reconnect if:
- Your LinkedIn session expired — the account shows a disconnected or error status
- You were logged out — LinkedIn ended your session remotely
- The system requires re-authentication — ConnectSafely is prompting for fresh credentials
- You are facing connection errors — automation has stopped working for this account
What Reconnect Does
- Keeps your account in ConnectSafely — nothing is removed or reset
- Refreshes authentication — establishes a fresh session with LinkedIn
- Maintains your existing setup — all settings, personas, and configurations remain unchanged
- Does NOT remove account data — history and activity are fully preserved
How to Reconnect
- Click Reconnect under your LinkedIn account
- Log into LinkedIn again when prompted
- Complete authentication
Once successful, your account will continue running normally with all automation resuming from where it left off.

The Reconnect LinkedIn Account modal — enter your credentials and click Reconnect Account to restore the session.
🗑️ When to Use "Delete Account"
Use Delete Account if:
- You want to permanently remove the LinkedIn profile from ConnectSafely
- You are switching to a different LinkedIn account
- You no longer want automation running on this account
What Delete Account Does
- Completely removes the account from ConnectSafely
- Stops all automation and engagement immediately
- Removes the connection from your dashboard
How to Delete
- Click Delete Account under the LinkedIn profile
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
- The account will be removed immediately
⚠️ Important
Deleting does NOT delete your LinkedIn account. It only removes the connection inside ConnectSafely. Your actual LinkedIn profile remains completely unaffected.
Key Difference (Very Important)
| Action | Removes Account? | Stops Automation? | Requires Full Re-Login Later? |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🔄 Reconnect | No | No | Re-authentication only |
| 🗑️ Delete | Yes | Yes | Yes (must reconnect fully) |
💡 Best Practice
- • If you're troubleshooting → Use Reconnect first. It's safe, reversible, and keeps all your data intact.
- • Only use Delete if you're certain you want to fully remove the account from ConnectSafely.
