Aéko Ongodia

Overview

Aéko Ongodia is a seasoned investment professional with over 15 years of experience in the financial sector. He founded XENO Investment Management in 2017 to make goal-based investment management services affordable and accessible to individuals and groups in Uganda. Under his leadership, XENO has grown to manage over UGX 60 billion in assets, serving more than 100,000 registered investors. The company offers technology-driven, automated, and personalized investment management services, focusing on asset classes such as money markets, bonds, domestic equities, and regional equities. XENO is licensed and regulated by the Capital Markets Authority of Uganda. Prior to founding XENO, Ongodia held significant roles at the Bank of Uganda and the National Social Security Fund, where he was responsible for constructing and executing investment strategies for portfolios totaling over $1.3 billion across the East African region. He holds a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Stony Brook University, New York, and a Master of Science in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Cass Business School, London. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
