Advanced Finance & Investment Group (AFIG Funds) is a private equity fund management company founded in 2005 and headquartered in Port Louis, Mauritius. The firm specializes in growth equity investments across diverse sectors in West, Central, and East Africa, with a particular focus on healthcare, financial services, real estate, energy, consumer goods, telecommunications, agriculture, education, infrastructure, manufacturing, media, technology, transportation, hospitality, and retail. AFIG Funds manages two primary funds: the Atlantic Coast Regional Fund (ACRF) and AFIG Fund II. The ACRF, launched in 2008 with total commitments of US$122.5 million, covers 29 countries in the target regions. Through this fund, AFIG invested in companies such as FSDH Holding, Primrose Properties, Ecobank Rwanda, and Senbus Industries. In 2016, AFIG launched its second fund, AFIG Fund II, with total commitments of US$135.1 million, covering 32 countries. Investments from this fund include Tecnicil Indústria, First Atlantic Bank, NEM Insurance, and Nouvelle Mici Embaci. AFIG Funds aims to create a new paradigm for African private equity investing by mobilizing substantial local private capital alongside international private investors and development finance institutions.
