Ahmad Hammad

Overview

As Program Manager for the mHUB MedTech Accelerator, Ahmad Hammad oversees the sourcing, evaluation, and operational aspects of the program, which focuses on cutting-edge medical devices with the potential to transform healthcare. The accelerator offers comprehensive mentorship from industry experts and successful MedTech entrepreneurs, a $200K initial investment, in-kind services, state-of-the-art prototyping labs, coworking spaces, and valuable networking opportunities with a community of innovators and professionals. Ahmad's role is pivotal in connecting entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and capital within mHUB's purpose-built space, facilitating the commercialization of new physical products. Prior to joining mHUB, Ahmad collaborated with the Ventures team at StartUp Health to source, evaluate, and select new companies for investment, and managed portfolios in Type 1 Diabetes and Alzheimer's. He also worked as an innovation and strategy consultant for several healthcare companies, partnering with R&D teams to explore new market segments and develop new product lines. Ahmad holds a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Edinburgh in the UK. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, discovering hidden gem restaurants around the city, and spending time on the beaches of Lake Michigan. He also serves on the executive board of The Halimah Project, a non-profit organization that mentors refugee children in collaboration with university students.
