Akash Gupta

Overview

Akash Gupta is an angel investor and the CEO of Zypp Electric, India's largest electric logistics startup. He co-founded Zypp in 2018, aiming to provide eco-friendly and affordable last-mile delivery solutions through electric vehicles. Under his leadership, Zypp has expanded its fleet to 20,000 electric two-wheelers across major Indian cities, with plans to increase it five-fold over the next two to three years. The company has also attracted significant investments, including a ₹15 crore funding from the Indian Angel Network in 2019. Before founding Zypp, Akash held key positions in several prominent companies. He served as Vice President and Head of Marketing at MobiKwik, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the company as a leading fintech startup in India. Prior to that, he was Head of Acquisitions and Alliances for Mobile Marketing at Snapdeal, contributing to a fivefold growth in daily app acquisitions. His earlier experience includes leading the 4G launch and nationwide acquisitions for Airtel. Akash holds an MBA from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. As an angel investor, Akash has invested in various startups, primarily focusing on sectors such as electric mobility, logistics technology, and fintech. His investment portfolio includes companies like Osso VR, GoOAT, and Pikndel. He is also an active speaker and thought leader in electric mobility, startups, and marketing, participating in numerous events and conferences.
