Alejandro Caiaffa is a Colombian serial environmental entrepreneur and investor committed to promoting the circular economy through innovative recycling solutions. He is the founder and CEO of MUTA, a clean-tech startup that digitizes the recycling industry in Latin America, connecting waste generators with the circular economy. MUTA offers services such as recycling, financial solutions, and a marketplace for eco-friendly products, facilitating the integration of recyclable materials into the circular economy. Under his leadership, MUTA has formalized the working conditions of 85 recyclers and exported used cooking oil to the United Kingdom. In 2018, he established MAMO, a company that utilized recycled plastics to create outdoor products like chairs, tables, and pots.
