Ali Cebi is a Turkish angel investor and entrepreneur. He co-founded and served as CEO of Fongogo Kitle Fonlama Platformu, Turkey's leading crowdfunding platform, from April 2013 to July 2023. Currently, he holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Fongogo. With a strong background in finance and entrepreneurship, Ali Cebi's career includes: Investment banking experience at Credit Suisse in New York and London, where he worked on mergers and acquisitions with total transaction sizes exceeding $50 billion. Founder and Managing Director of AC Ventures, an investment and advisory firm focusing on early-stage ventures. Executive Director at ALE Danışmanlık, providing family office and asset management services. Ali holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from INSEAD and a BA in Economics and Business Institutions from Northwestern University. He has been actively involved in angel investing, particularly in the technology sector, and has made over 20 angel investments. His interest in technology stems from recognizing the rapid growth of Turkey's ecosystem and the numerous opportunities it presents. In 2013, he founded Fongogo with the mission to accelerate and facilitate access to resources for entrepreneurs and businesses through the power of the crowd, aiming to support the realization of dreams and contribute to societal development. Ali believes that crowdfunding is a crucial alternative financing channel for new ventures seeking capital in Turkey, where it is still a relatively new concept.
