Alma Angels is a London-based angel investment network dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs in the United Kingdom. The organization brings together a diverse community of investors committed to backing women (co)founders building tech or IP-rich ventures with global ambitions. Since its inception, Alma Angels has trained over 500 angel investors who have invested in more than 200 women-led startups, collectively raising over £300 million to date. The network's mission is to generate $1 trillion in women-led wealth by 2050, with a commitment to training 10,000 angels and supporting 10,000 women founders by 2035. The community comprises individuals from various backgrounds, including entrepreneurs, operators, executives, and professional investors, all united by a shared pledge to actively support women entrepreneurs. Notably, 70% of Alma Angels identify as women, 35% are non-white, and 30% had no prior angel investment experience. The organization hosts events like The Alma Summit, the largest annual gathering of early-stage funders and women founders in the UK, aiming to foster meaningful connections and equip participants with tools for success in the startup ecosystem.
