Overview

Alternative Credit Investments plc is a UK-based closed-end fund that invests in a diversified portfolio of platforms and asset classes, aiming to deliver attractive dividend income and capital growth to its shareholders. It was launched in May 2014 and was listed on the London Stock Exchange, becoming a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. In September 2019, the company changed its name from P2P Global Investments plc to Pollen Street Secured Lending plc, and in October 2020, it rebranded to Alternative Credit Investments plc. In November 2020, Waterfall Asset Management made an agreed offer to acquire the company. The acquisition was sanctioned by the High Court on 11 March 2021, and the company's shares were suspended on 15 March 2021 and delisted the following day. The fund's investment strategy includes allocating capital to a range of alternative credit assets, such as consumer loans, SME loans, and trade receivables, with the objective of generating consistent income and capital appreciation. The portfolio is managed by Waterfall Asset Management, which specializes in structured credit and private equity investments, with approximately $8.3 billion in assets under management. The fund's investments are diversified across various geographies and industries, aiming to mitigate risk and enhance returns for its investors.
