Amir Amidi

Overview

Amir Amidi serves as the Managing Partner for Plug and Play's Travel and Hospitality Program, overseeing startup investments and corporate relationships with major industry players such as Lufthansa, JetBlue, Turkish Airlines, Accor Hotels, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, and Travelport. In this capacity, he is responsible for identifying and nurturing innovative travel tech startups, aiming to invest in 20 such companies annually and bridge the gap between innovators and industry leaders. Prior to his current role, Amidi was the Senior Director of Strategic Accounts at Nor1, a leader in upsell technologies for hotel brands. There, he managed strategic partnerships with prominent brands including IHG, Fairmont, and Carlson. His extensive experience in the travel and hospitality sector has equipped him with a deep understanding of the industry's dynamics and the needs of both startups and established corporations. Amidi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Behavior Studies from Santa Clara University. His leadership at Plug and Play has been instrumental in fostering innovation within the travel and hospitality sectors, contributing to the growth and success of numerous startups in these industries.
