Andrew McCollum

Andrew McCollum is an American angel investor and businessman, best known as a co-founder of Facebook. He attended Harvard University, where he met Mark Zuckerberg and other future Facebook co-founders. McCollum worked on Facebook from its inception in 2004 until September 2007, contributing to the platform's early development. After leaving Facebook, he returned to Harvard to complete his bachelor's degree in computer science and later earned a master's degree in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In 2014, McCollum became the CEO of Philo, an entertainment-focused over-the-top (OTT) streaming service that launched nationwide in November 2017. Prior to assuming the role of CEO, he served on Philo's board, mentored the company's co-founders, and was one of its first investors. His involvement in Philo reflects his ongoing interest in social design and product development, areas he has been passionate about since his time at Facebook. Beyond his role at Philo, McCollum has been an active early-stage angel investor and advisor. He has made investments in various startups, including Diamond Foundry, a certified carbon-neutral lab-grown diamond manufacturer, and Moxxly, a breastfeeding app acquired by Medela.
