Overview

Angel Investors Marlborough is a membership-based investment network of wholesale investors and allied business professionals. Established in 2017, the group has grown to become one of the largest and most active regional angel clubs in New Zealand, with over 170 individual members and more than $31 million invested in 782 companies. The group's investment focus includes sectors such as agritech, technology, healthcare, consumer goods, manufacturing, food and beverage, tourism, education, renewable energy, media and entertainment, transport and logistics, financial services, real estate, agriculture, and forestry. Angel Investors Marlborough operates on a member-driven model, where investors make individual investment decisions, with a minimum investment amount of $5,000. The group is a member of the Angel Association of New Zealand, a network of more than twenty angel groups and funds throughout the country, collectively promoting and facilitating investor education and best practices. The group's board comprises individuals with diverse backgrounds, including law, infrastructure, investment banking, and various industries, providing a broad range of skills and experience to support entrepreneurs and innovators in the Marlborough region. Angel Investors Marlborough's mission is to connect experienced early-stage investors with entrepreneurs and innovators, fostering the growth and success of start-ups in the region.
