Overview

Angels Band is an angel investment network based in Minsk, Belarus, comprising over 40 successful entrepreneurs, top managers, and investors. The network focuses on supporting innovative early-stage startups by providing investments, professional expertise, and access to a vast network. Their mission is to develop the startup and venture ecosystem in the CIS and Europe. The network operates by presenting 4-5 pre-screened startup applications to its members weekly. They discuss pitched projects during pitch sessions, form syndicates of potential investors, and conduct due diligence before investing via instruments like Convertible Notes, SAFEs, or Equity. Investors vote for the most promising startups to form a pitch session shortlist, and online pitch sessions are held every two weeks with selected startups. Additionally, they offer educational sessions through their Business Angels School featuring invited speakers. Angels Band has invested approximately $1.7 million in over 1,100 startups. Their portfolio includes companies across various sectors such as SaaS, fintech, healthtech, and more. The network is open to early-stage startups from any industry and technology, with business angels investing individually or in syndicates with lead investors from various industries. They have partnerships with organizations like EBAN and venture funds in the CEE and Baltic regions, enhancing their support for portfolio projects through international partners' networks.
