Angels4Women

Overview

Angels4Women is an association of female business angels investing in high-growth potential startups led by women or targeting the female market. The association aims to reduce the gender gap in innovation and entrepreneurship by providing financial support to early-stage startups founded by women or addressing the female market. Members participate in periodic meetings where selected startups present their projects for potential investment. The association's activities include investment, promotion, and training. Investment activities involve scouting for entrepreneurial projects, conducting initial evaluations, and presenting selected projects to members. Promotional activities focus on actively seeking members with specific expertise, organizing regular meetings to share promising projects, and forming partnerships with organizations pursuing similar goals. Training activities encompass organizing seminars or conferences for updates, offering courses like "How to become a Business Angel," and providing training for managers, clients, or suppliers of supporting companies through the A4W Academy Corporate. Angels4Women is the first Italian association of business angels focused exclusively on female entrepreneurship. It was launched in 2018 by AXA Italia in partnership with Impact Hub Milano, aiming to support female-led startups with high growth potential.
