Anna Raptis is the founder and Managing Partner of Amplifica Capital, the first female-focused venture capital firm in Latin America. Amplifica Capital invests in early-stage companies across sectors such as Agtech, Cleantech, Fintech, Edtech, and Women's Health, with a geographical focus on Mexico and other Latin American countries. The firm aims to generate excellent returns for investors by increasing the participation of women in venture capital and supporting startups that drive sustainable growth in the region. Anna has over 25 years of experience as an investor, with a background in international equities, funds, energy, real estate, and as an angel investor and limited partner in venture capital funds in Mexico and the United States. She was recognized as one of the top female investors by the Latin American Venture Capital Association. Anna holds a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University, a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. She is also a founding member and former President of 'Mujeres Invirtiendo,' an organization that aims to support and increase the participation of women in private capital in Mexico. Under her leadership, Amplifica Capital has funded 29 startups in the LATAM region and created initiatives to help women enter the world of entrepreneurship, such as the Pitch Practice sessions. The firm's guiding principle is to invest in the change they want to see, focusing on projects that generate a positive impact on the lives of women and increase their opportunities and inclusion in the economy. Amplifica Capital seeks to be the fund that Latin American female tech founders reach out to first, aiming to diversify the investor base by actively increasing the participation of women investors in private capital.
