Dr. Anthony Ikemefuna Idigbe is a distinguished Nigerian legal practitioner and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) with over four decades of experience in corporate governance, insolvency, business restructuring, arbitration, dispute resolution, privatization, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and oil and gas. He is the Senior Partner at PUNUKA Attorneys & Solicitors, a firm with offices in Lagos, Abuja, and Asaba, Nigeria. Dr. Idigbe was licensed to practice law in Nigeria in 1983 and in Ontario, Canada, in 2016. He holds a doctorate in cross-border insolvency from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In addition to his legal practice, Dr. Idigbe has served on various corporate boards, including as an Independent Non-Executive Director at PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, a position he assumed in March 2025. He has also been involved in the hospitality sector, serving as Chairman of Capital Hotels Plc, the owner of Sheraton Abuja Hotel. His leadership roles have extended to the Tourist Company of Nigeria Plc, where he served as Chairman until July 2025, when he was replaced due to governance concerns. Dr. Idigbe's contributions to the legal and business communities have been recognized with an honorary doctorate degree from Veritas University, Bwari, Abuja, in December 2023.
