Anthony Venus

Overview

Anthony Venus is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with a diverse background in technology, software, and financial services. He has co-founded and led several successful companies, including Strategic Intelligence, a venture-backed online publisher; Marketshare, a market research and services firm acquired by Harris Interactive; and Meridian, a financial services firm acquired by a U.S.-based strategic buyer. Under his leadership, YayPay, a SaaS firm, achieved $30 million in software and payments sales, serving 300 mid-market and enterprise customers across the U.S. and Europe. Venus has also held executive roles in multinational firms, including President of Asia Pacific at Harris Interactive and SVP & Chief Strategy Officer at Quadient. In 2024, he joined CEO Coaching International as a Partner and Coach, leveraging his 25 years of experience to guide other founders and executives toward exponential growth. Venus holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Queensland and is a member of YPO in both the U.S. and U.K. He is also a mentor at Techstars and the London Business School. Additionally, he founded Luminous, a philanthropic initiative supporting Buddhist monasteries in Bhutan and India, as well as meditation retreats in Europe. He resides in London and enjoys adventure travel, diving, music and film festivals, and hiking with his two dogs, a fox-red Labrador and a golden retriever. Venus's investment focus spans various sectors, including technology, software, financial services, publishing, market research, SaaS, venture capital, blockchain, artificial intelligence, education, philanthropy, media, entertainment, and travel. His geographical focus includes the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and the Asia Pacific region. He typically invests between $100,000 and $5,000,000 in seed, early-stage, and growth-stage companies. His investment strategy emphasizes scaling technology businesses and supporting entrepreneurs in achieving significant growth and successful exits. As an angel investor, Venus brings a wealth of experience in team leadership, strategy, new venture and product development, go-to-market strategies, and fundraising. His approach is hands-on, leveraging his extensive network and deep domain knowledge to turn disruptive ideas into industry-defining successes. He is also a qualified executive coach, accredited by the International Coaching Federation, and completed IMD’s International Executive Coaching Certificate Program in Switzerland.
