Overview

Established in August 2020 by a presidential decree, Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH) is a sovereign wealth fund responsible for managing state-owned enterprises in Azerbaijan. Its primary objective is to enhance the efficiency, competitiveness, and financial sustainability of these enterprises by implementing unified management principles and improving their investment programs. AIH oversees a diverse portfolio of companies across various sectors, including energy, natural resources, industry, agriculture, and finance. AIH's investment strategy focuses on sectors such as the food industry, healthcare, renewable energy, consumer goods, logistics, technology, and pharmaceuticals. The holding engages in investments at various stages, including growth, late stage, pre-IPO, buyout, turnaround, and distressed situations. Geographically, AIH's investments span Azerbaijan, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Central Asia. Notably, in October 2025, AIH and the Oman Investment Authority established a $200 million direct investment fund to support strategic projects in these regions. Through its strategic investments and management practices, Azerbaijan Investment Holding aims to contribute to the economic development and diversification of Azerbaijan's economy, fostering sustainable growth and competitiveness in the global market.
