Overview

Established in 2001 in Singapore, BANSEA is a leading angel investment network formed to promote development of the angel investment community in Asia through educational conferences and workshops, research, networking with angel groups worldwide, contributing to improving the regulatory environment and corporate governance system for angel investing, and facilitating the matching of start-ups with angel investors.\\BANSEA has network connections to angel groups throughout the region including China, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and enjoys close links to like minded angel investment groups in Europe and the US. Membership is open to qualified angel investors with a keen interest in early stage ventures and strictly upon recommendation by an existing member.

Investment Focus

• Operating companies (excluding project financing and ideation stage)
• Seed, Pre-Series A, Series A stages
• Companies with a clear business model, business plan, governance structure, and dedicated team
• Any sector (excluding traditional businesses or real estate)
• Based in Singapore or Southeast Asia (including remote companies with a clear strategy to enter SEA markets)
• Seeking capital between SGD 100,000 and SGD 1,000,000 (for larger amounts, BANSEA could team up with a network of capital sources)
