Established in August 2003, Battelle Ventures, a $150m venture fund, principally, but not exclusively, focuses on seed, start-up and first-stage investments that will commercialize the technologies that emerge from Battelle Memorial Institute and the laboratories that Battelle manages or co manages for the US Department of Energy. Battelle Ventures' key areas of investment are life sciences, homeland security, information technology, materials and energy.
