Birgir Már Ragnarsson is a seasoned private equity investor and managing partner at Novator Partners, an international investment firm founded in 2004. With a background in law and finance, he has been instrumental in sourcing investments, mergers and acquisitions, negotiations, finance, and operations across various industries, including pharmaceuticals, banking, gaming, telecommunications, and technology. His passion lies in building new businesses and supporting founders and management teams in achieving their goals. Under his leadership, Novator Partners has invested in a diverse portfolio of companies, such as Numan, Lockwood Publishing, Zwift, Sidekick, and Klang Games. The firm's investment strategy focuses on early-stage to pre-IPO companies, with investment sizes ranging from $5 million to $500 million. Geographically, Novator Partners has a broad focus, investing in regions including the United Kingdom, Iceland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, the United States, and several European countries. Birgir holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from Harvard Law School and a Cand Jur in Law from the University of Iceland. He is a member of the Harvard Law School European Leadership Council and the Langdell Society. Outside of his professional endeavors, Birgir enjoys skiing, cycling, and horseback riding. He and his wife operate a horse farm in Iceland and co-founded Eiriksson Brasserie, a popular restaurant in Reykjavík.
