Blake Heston

Overview

As a Partner at W Capital Partners, Blake Heston specializes in sourcing, evaluating, and structuring new investment opportunities, as well as managing the firm's existing portfolio companies. He collaborates closely with private equity shareholders to create liquidity solutions for non-control equity interests in private companies and works with portfolio company management teams to finance growth and acquisition opportunities. Blake is actively involved with several of the firm's portfolio companies through board and advisory roles. Before joining W Capital in 2007, Blake gained experience at Lehman Brothers and First Albany Capital. At Lehman Brothers, he was involved in structuring various M&A, leveraged buyout, and financing transactions for clients in the Technology M&A Group. At First Albany, he worked on M&A and corporate finance transactions for middle-market companies in the healthcare, technology, and industrial sectors. Blake holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University and also studied at the University of New South Wales. Blake's investment focus includes software, security, and tech-enabled companies. Over his career, he has completed 16 investments, representing more than $400 million of total invested capital. His current investments include Acquia, Brainshark, Inspirato, Jordan Health, MINDBODY, Ravn Air, and Vision Critical. Past investments include Dynacast (acquired by Partners Group), Neolane (acquired by Adobe), and Ping Identity (acquired by Vista Equity).
