Brian Goldberg

Overview

Brian Goldberg is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor specializing in the consumer goods sector, with a track record of multiple $1 billion-plus exits. He is the founder and executive chairman of Redbud Brands, a private investment firm focused on creating and scaling 'better-for-you' consumer brands and digital consumer ventures. Under his leadership, Redbud Brands has invested in approximately 50 consumer operating companies and funds. Prior to founding Redbud Brands, Goldberg served as the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for Amplify Snack Brands, Inc. from its formation in 2014 through its acquisition by The Hershey Company in 2018 for over $1.7 billion. During his tenure, he led the company's initial public offering in 2015 and played a pivotal role in multiple mergers and acquisitions. His strategic vision contributed to Amplify's growth and success in the better-for-you snack food market. Goldberg's extensive experience also includes roles as a co-founder, C-level executive, board director, advisor, or investor in several successful consumer packaged goods brands, such as Sweet Leaf Tea, Deep Eddy Vodka, Waterloo Sparkling Water, Kettle & Fire, and Nutrabolt/C4. Earlier in his career, he worked at Ernst & Young, Pfizer, and New Capital Partners. He holds an MBA from The Darden School at The University of Virginia, a Master's degree from The University of Georgia, and a BSM degree from Tulane University. Residing in Austin, Texas, Goldberg is active in the community, serving as a board member of JDRF and Naturally Austin, and is a benefactor of Austin City Limits.
