Brian Shin

Overview

Brian Shin is an angel investor and co-founder of Searchable.ai, a company specializing in personalized semantic search engines to enhance work productivity. He has invested in over 50 technology startups, including HubSpot, Drift, Vesper, Misfit, Kayak, Sirtris Pharma, Frequency Therapeutics, and Atrium. His investment focus is on early-stage companies, particularly in cloud and AI infrastructure, with typical investments ranging from $25,000 to $50,000. In addition to his investment activities, Shin has a background in founding and leading technology companies. He was the founder and CEO of Visible Measures, a venture-backed video analytics company acquired in 2017, and founder and chairman of Mustbin, a mobile security company also acquired in 2017. He served as a partner with In-Q-Tel, a strategic investment firm supporting the U.S. Intelligence Community, and as a managing director at Providence Strategic Growth.
