CAP Finance

Overview

CAP Finance is a network of financial institutions dedicated to promoting social finance and supporting an economy that respects people and the planet's resources. The network aims to create recognition for social finance as an area of expertise, transparency, and responsibility. Established in 2009, CAP Finance brings together various financial institutions to focus on the social economy and solidarity finance. The network's mission includes promoting and developing social finance and development capital, developing the expertise of professionals across the network, and promoting responsible investment to the general public and stakeholders. CAP Finance is unique due to the complementary nature of its member institutions and their commitment to adopting socially responsible finance practices. The network plays a key role in joint actions among major solidarity finance actors, and its expertise in social finance is recognized both nationally and internationally.

Investment Focus

• Investments must support social purpose organizations with positive social, cultural, and environmental impacts in Québec.
• Investments should align with the principles of social equity and inclusion.
• Investments are directed towards existing or emerging social finance intermediaries in Québec, such as credit unions, community loan funds, and private equity firms.
