CAS Investment Management Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as CASI)' s controlling shareholder is Chinese Academy of Sciences Holdings Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as CAS Holdings) and has State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (abbreviated as SASAC) and an employee-owned company as shareholders. Its predecessor is the Chinese National Economic Council-CAS Scientific and Technological Promotion & Economic Development Foundation. In 1993, it set up China Scientific and Technological Promotion Investment Company in line with Chinese policies governing foundations. In 2006, it was restructured into a limited liability company and changed to its present name.\ \For the past 25 years, Foundation and CASI has supported over 300 scientific and technological payoffs for industrialization in succession, some of which has become industrial bellwethers, and has contributed to the promotion of scientific achievement conversion and technological progress.\ \With a mission of "providing capital support and value-added service to industrial leaders, and promoting them to be outstanding companies with international competitiveness", CASI is dedicated to be a Chinese leading PE fund manager.
