CDP Venture Capital SGR – Fondo Acceleratori is an Italian venture capital fund focusing on early-stage investments in innovative companies. The fund aims to support the development of a new generation of startups by investing in a national network of accelerators. These accelerators are vertical programs in strategic fields and technologies, operating throughout Italy in partnership with leading Italian and international operators and corporations in the relevant industries. The fund makes investments in the early stages of development (Pre-seed and Seed) through financial vehicles (Newco) and intervenes directly with investments in the later stage (Post-seed). The fund invests in companies that have passed the prototyping stage and need support to validate the business model and define the product-market fit. It selects the best ones from the accelerator programs it works with and accompanies them through the next stages of growth. The fund's portfolio includes 435 startups managed in seed, early stage, and Series A rounds. The total endowment of the fund is €254 million. CDP Venture Capital SGR – Fondo Acceleratori adopts a vertical approach to its individual programs but a generalist strategy overall, investing in high-tech companies active in the sectors for which each of the 20 accelerator programs was developed. These sectors correspond to the main industrial and technological innovation areas, including automotive, aerospace, advanced mechanics, energy, food and agritech, fashion, circular economy, and many others. The fund's objective is to build an interconnected network of 20 vertical accelerator programs, each focused on a specific sector and strategically distributed across the national territory.
