Chicago ArchAngels

Overview

The Chicago ArchAngels is a preferred provider of risk capital for early and seed-stage companies in the Midwest and around the country. They accept companies through a referral process within their network, covering a wide range of industries. Past presenters have included innovative startups in medical devices, healthcare, healthcare information technology, digital technology, manufacturing, green technology, clean energy, financial services, education, consumer products, and other sectors. Their focus is on innovative companies that are expected to achieve technological proof of concept and customer validation with planned market domination. Ideally, companies are seeking between $500,000 and $3 million in their current round. Chicago ArchAngels members add value with their business and entrepreneurial experience, with most members having national or international business experience. The group also collaborates with many other angel groups, accelerators, and incubators for referrals and reviews. At regular monthly meetings, members hear presentations from three companies, most of which have global potential. They are currently accepting applications for associate membership from international students and graduates who would like to learn more about angel investing.
