Overview

China Canada Angel Alliance (CCAA) is dedicated to building a cross-border ecosystem for early-stage innovative companies between China and Canada. The organization focuses on providing resources such as investment, mentorship, and connections to the Chinese market. CCAA's primary sectors include Information and Communications Technology (ICT), healthcare IT, and clean tech IT, with a preference for mobile/Internet opportunities. The alliance also considers investments in VR & AR, UAV & UAS, medical devices, and sustainability sectors. CCAA operates with a diverse group of investors, including 28 prominent Chinese angel investors and 11 private institutions/funds from China. These members have substantial decision-making power and industry influence, managing funds at different stages. The alliance has a successful track record, with nine investee companies achieving significant capital gains of more than 10,000% returns over the past seven years. The organization is dually operated in Canada (Toronto) and China (Beijing) to accelerate communication and decision-making processes. CCAA collaborates with partners like the Ontario Centre of Excellence (OCE) and Zhongguancun Haidian Science Park to provide quality Canadian entrepreneurs and projects with opportunities and access to the Chinese market. The alliance also offers programs such as the China Angels Mentorship Program (CAMP), a one-year virtual incubation program designed to curate qualified Ontario start-ups for CCAA investment and create opportunities for exchange and interaction with partners that will assist them in preparing for the Chinese marketplace.
