Cory Klippsten

Overview

Cory Klippsten is an angel investor and CEO of Swan Bitcoin, a Bitcoin-only financial platform serving both retail and institutional clients. He is also a partner in Bitcoiner Ventures and El Zonte Capital, and has served as an advisor to Unchained Capital and Riot Blockchain. Klippsten has invested in over 50 early-stage tech companies, including Unchained Capital and Tesloop. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, he worked at Google, McKinsey, Microsoft, and Morgan Stanley, and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago. His investment focus includes sectors such as cryptocurrency and blockchain, artificial intelligence and machine learning, SaaS, enterprise software, media, advertising, and transportation and distribution. He primarily invests in seed and pre-seed stages within the United States. Klippsten is known for his strong advocacy of Bitcoin, emphasizing its value proposition and mission. He has been a vocal critic of altcoins and crypto frauds, positioning himself as a leading figure in the Bitcoin maximalist movement. Under his leadership, Swan Bitcoin has managed over $1 billion in assets, offering services like automated BTC savings plans, IRAs, private client advisory, and business custody solutions. He also founded Bitcoiner Jobs and organizes the Pacific Bitcoin Conference, which drew over 5,000 attendees in 2024. Additionally, he serves on advisory boards for Bitcoin-aligned U.S. legislation, reflecting his commitment to advancing Bitcoin adoption and industry growth.
