Daniel Goldman

Overview

Daniel Goldman is a co-founder and managing partner at Clean Energy Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm dedicated to investing in companies commercializing disruptive advanced energy technologies. With over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, his expertise spans strategy, corporate and project finance, and project development, with a significant emphasis on clean energy asset development and finance since 2000. He has been instrumental in raising substantial capital for clean energy initiatives, including over $280 million for GreatPoint Energy from investors such as Kleiner Perkins, Khosla Ventures, Citi, Dow Chemical, and China Wanxiang. In addition to his role at Clean Energy Ventures, Goldman holds various advisory and board positions. He is a co-founder and director of Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2), serves on the boards of several clean energy technology companies, and is a strategic advisor to Asia Environmental Partners, a Hong Kong-based private equity fund managed by Olympus Capital. He is also a member of the board of directors, executive committee, and finance committee of the Northeast Clean Energy Council, advocating for the clean energy sector in the region. Goldman earned a B.S. from Cornell University and an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics. He has been involved in advisory roles at Cornell's Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future and has previously held other advisory board positions at Cornell, reflecting his commitment to sustainable energy and environmental initiatives.
