Darius Mahtani Cheung is a Singapore-based angel investor and founder with a diverse investment portfolio. He is the founder and CEO of 99 Group, a leading property marketplace in Southeast Asia, operating brands such as 99.co, SRX, iProperty, and Rumah123. Under his leadership, 99 Group has become the fastest-growing property platform in the region, aiming to transform the traditional property market into a user-friendly digital model. The company has raised over US$80 million from top investors, including Gaw Capital, Sequoia, East Ventures, AllianzX, and Eduardo Saverin. Prior to founding 99 Group, Darius founded tenCube, a mobile security startup that was acquired by McAfee in 2010. At tenCube, he served as CEO and developed the award-winning mobile security product WaveSecure. He has also been an angel investor in over twenty startups, including Carousell, HipVan, and Glints. Darius has been recognized with the Singapore Youth Award, Singapore's highest youth accolade, and the Entrepreneur of the Year award by the Singapore Computer Society. Darius holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He is married to Roshni Mahtani, the founder and CEO of the content and community platform theAsianparent. Together, they have a daughter named Shan. Darius is also an alumnus of the NUS Overseas College program, which fosters entrepreneurship among students through exposure to global startup ecosystems.
