David Dorman

Overview

David Dorman is a founding partner of Centerview Capital Technology, a private investment firm specializing in technology investments. Prior to this, he served as a senior advisor and managing director at Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm, from October 2006 through April 2008. He also held various leadership positions at AT&T Corp. from 2000 to 2006, including Chairman and CEO from November 2002 to November 2005. Dorman joined AT&T as President in December 2000 and was named Chairman and CEO in November 2002. Before his appointment as President of AT&T, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Concert Communications Services, a global venture created by AT&T and British Telecommunications plc, from 1999 to 2000. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of PointCast Inc., a web-based media company, from 1997 to 1999, and as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Pacific Bell Telephone Company from 1994 to 1997. Dorman currently serves on the boards of CVS Health Corporation, PayPal Holdings, Inc., and Yum! Brands, Inc. He has also served on the boards of Motorola Solutions, Inc., and the Georgia Tech Foundation. Dorman holds a bachelor's degree in industrial management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
