David L. Calone

Overview

David L. Calone is the President and CEO of Jove Equity Partners, LLC, a private equity and venture capital firm based in East Setauket, New York. The firm invests in internet, software, digital media, real estate, and healthcare industries. Mr. Calone serves as a director of seven privately held companies across the United States. Prior to founding Jove Equity Partners, he was a federal prosecutor at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., and received the 2003 Attorney General’s Award for Outstanding Contributions by a New Employee. He also served as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Division of the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Mr. Calone is the organizer of the Congressional Caucus on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the U.S. House of Representatives and co-founded the Long Island Emerging Technologies Fund, which provides seed funding for early-stage technology companies on Long Island. He has been active in various public service roles, including serving as Chairman of the Suffolk County Planning Commission and on the Board of Trustees for the Long Island Power Authority. Mr. Calone holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
