Dean Drako

Dean Drako is an American entrepreneur and investor recognized for his contributions to the technology sector. He founded Eagle Eye Networks, a cloud-based video surveillance company, in 2012, serving as its CEO. Under his leadership, Eagle Eye Networks developed a cloud video surveillance system and video API, expanding its global presence with multiple data centers. In 2025, the company merged with Brivo, a cloud access control company, operating under the Brivo name. Drako also founded Drako Motors, an electric vehicle manufacturer, and serves as CEO of IC Manage, a provider of design data management solutions. He is the owner and chairman of Cobalt AI, a company specializing in enterprise security automation. Previously, Drako was the founder, president, and CEO of Barracuda Networks, an IT security company, from 2003 to 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Drako has been recognized with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Gulf South Region in 2024 and was named one of Goldman Sachs' 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs in 2014.
