Overview

Dennis Muilenburg is an American angel investor and former CEO of The Boeing Company. He has over 35 years of experience in the aerospace and defense sector, with extensive leadership, global business, and engineering responsibilities. Muilenburg joined Boeing in 1985 and served as CEO from July 2015 to December 2019. During his tenure, he launched Boeing HorizonX and NeXt, focusing on external startup investments in high-growth areas such as advanced air mobility, autonomy, AI, hypersonic propulsion, cybersecurity, computing, satellite constellation, and advanced materials. He also served on the Board of Directors of Caterpillar Inc. and was Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Aerospace Industries Association. After leaving Boeing, Muilenburg became an angel investor and advisor to several startups. In December 2020, he joined Monarch Tractor, a California-based company building self-driving electric tractors, as an investor and advisor. In February 2021, he founded New Vista Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) focused on the aerospace and defense sector. In September 2022, Muilenburg joined Green Eight Capital AG, a mission-driven private investment firm, to help launch the Aerospace Innovation Fund, directing capital into aerospace and aerospace-adjacent industries to address global needs for reconstituted supply chains, resilient industrial bases, and foundational technologies. He also serves as a Venture Advisor at Cultivation Capital, supporting geospatial investments. Muilenburg's investment focus includes aerospace, agriculture, and technology sectors, with a preference for early-stage to late-stage companies. His investments range from $1 million to $50 million, targeting industries such as aerospace, agriculture, technology, defense, manufacturing, engineering, automotive, energy, healthcare, consumer goods, telecommunications, media, retail, financial services, and transportation.
