Overview
Desjardins–Innovatech is a Canadian venture capital fund supporting technology and industrial innovation in Quebec. Established in 2005 through a joint initiative of the Quebec government and Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins, the fund is managed by Desjardins Business Capital régional et coopératif. Its primary mission is to promote and support venture capital financing for Quebec companies engaged in technology development or industrial innovation. To fulfill its mission, Desjardins–Innovatech partners with other technology players—specialized investment funds, entrepreneurs, angel investors, and technology enterprise accelerators—to provide greater outreach to SMEs with promising prospects for driving job creation and economic development. Desjardins–Innovatech has committed over $55 million in nearly 40 companies and funds, focusing on sectors such as technology, healthcare, clean tech, telecom, med tech, ag tech, fin tech, ed tech, and hard tech. The fund typically invests between $1 million and $5 million in companies at seed, early stage, growth, and late stage, primarily within Canada.
