Dev Nag is an angel investor and founder of CtrlStack, a company based in San Francisco, California. He has a background in technology and enterprise software, with a focus on life sciences, FemTech, and information technology. His investment interests include seed to late-stage funding rounds, with investment sizes ranging from $1 million to $11 million. CtrlStack offers QueryPal, an enterprise-grade AI-powered customer service platform designed to transform and scale support operations efficiently across industries, with a strong focus on financial services. The company is based in Larkspur, CA. QueryPal’s suite includes three main products: Intercept, which drafts first-response emails to reduce resolution times; Prism, an AI-driven dashboard that analyzes support tickets, customer sentiment, and agent ratings; and Concierge, an advanced autonomous AI chatbot that integrates with internal systems to resolve complex customer issues. The platform emphasizes security and compliance, being SOC 2 and GDPR compliant, and offers a self-hosted experience. QueryPal helps reduce support costs, cut response and resolution times, improve customer satisfaction, and decrease agent burnout. CtrlStack launched with $5.2 million in seed funding co-led by Sequoia Capital and Engineering Capital in December 2022. Prior to CtrlStack, Dev was the founder and CTO of Wavefront, a leading observability company acquired by VMware. He holds more than a dozen patents in machine learning, observability, and security. Dev has also held positions at PayPal and Google, where he contributed to the development of financial processing systems for Google ad revenue. He earned a dual-degree B.S. in Mathematics and B.A. in Psychology from Stanford University.
