Overview

DMI AIF Sparkle Fund is a venture capital firm based in India, focusing on early-stage technology companies in the financial sector. As a SEBI-registered Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), Sparkle Fund was launched in 2017, with its first scheme incorporated in April 2019. DMI AIF Sparkle Fund is managed by DMI Alternatives Pvt. Ltd., the investment manager of the scheme. Committed to social, environmental, and corporate governance principles, Sparkle Fund seeks out management teams that are competent, passionate, and aligned with its investment values. Within the fintech ecosystem, Sparkle focuses on alternative lending, consumer finance, financial services IT, payments, Regtech, wealthtech, and AI-ML platforms to drive automation. The fund has made investments in various companies, including M2P, Credgenics, Servify, Uni, and Mobikwik, totaling $10 million across these ventures. Sparkle will continue to make investments across all stages of its portfolio companies, from pre-Series A to significant growth rounds, and expects to make more than 20 investments from this fund. Sparkle's strategic relationship with DMI Finance gives its portfolio companies access to market and data insights, possibilities for product trials and model refinement, and the technological capabilities of DMI Finance's digital financing platform. The Indian digital ecosystem is in the middle of near-exponential growth, and financial services are a key engine of that growth. Sparkle aims to back the right founders to help drive financial inclusion to the widest possible funnel of consumers.
