Duke Angel Network

Overview

An angel investment network supporting early-stage companies founded by Duke University affiliates. The Duke Angel Network (DAN) is dedicated to fostering the global Duke entrepreneurial community by providing an angel investing platform and a co-investment fund known as the Duke Innovation Fund. This initiative connects Duke alumni, faculty, staff, students, and parents with promising startups, leveraging the extensive Duke network to offer both capital and strategic guidance. DAN focuses on early-stage ventures, particularly those in seed and Series A stages, investing between $300,000 and $3 million. The network's diverse portfolio spans various industries, including technology, healthcare, consumer products, and more. By engaging over 100 members, DAN actively matches Duke alumni network expertise with portfolio companies to support growth and success. Since its inception in 2015, the Duke Angel Network has been instrumental in connecting Duke investors with Duke-affiliated startups, contributing to the growth and success of numerous early-stage companies.
