E.ON SE is a European multinational electric utility company based in Essen, Germany, operating as one of the world's largest investor-owned electric utility service providers. The deal was finalized in September 2019. E.ON's commitment to innovation is evident in its venture capital activities. In February 2024, the company launched a venture fund in collaboration with the European Investment Fund (EIF), allowing third parties to participate. The fund is managed by Future Energy Ventures (FEV) and aims to support startups and innovations in the energy sector, particularly those contributing to the energy transition. This initiative reflects E.ON's dedication to fostering innovation and sustainable development in the energy industry.
