Echosys Invest is the advisor to the AFRIGREEN Debt Impact Fund, a €100 million fund dedicated to renewable energy in Africa, offering long-term debt financing solutions. The fund primarily targets solar photovoltaic projects for commercial and industrial clients in West and Central Africa. Echosys Invest has been involved in several significant transactions, such as financing Gabon’s first utility-scale solar power plant through the AFRIGREEN Debt Impact Fund, managed by RGREEN INVEST and advised by Echosys Invest. Alongside BGFIBank, AFRIGREEN signed a €28 million loan agreement to finance Phase I of the Plaine Ayeme solar project, developed by SOLEN SA near Libreville. Additionally, Echosys Invest announced the signing of a USD 15 million loan from the AFRIGREEN Debt Impact Fund to finance solar commercial and industrial projects by westa.solar, a subsidiary of Ignite Power, marking AFRIGREEN’s second transaction in Nigeria and the first in local currency.
