Overview

Equity4Good Fund is an impact investment vehicle managed by Ship2B, a Spanish foundation based in Barcelona that accelerates social enterprises with high social and environmental impact. The fund, with investments from private investors and the European Investment Fund (EIF), has EUR 4 million to invest in start-ups with a triple bottom line: economic, social, and environmental. It supports approximately 30 companies, spanning from micro-seed tickets of EUR 40k to maximum tickets of EUR 100k, with additional follow-ons up to EUR 400k, representing on average a stake of 5% of the portfolio companies' share capital. The fund's investment strategy focuses on early-stage social enterprises in Spain, particularly in sectors such as biotechnology, software, information technology, fitness, health care, medical devices, security, digital media, elder care, and family services. It aims to support companies that integrate social and environmental impact into their business models, aligning with the European Investment Fund's commitment to fostering social enterprises. Equity4Good Fund's approach combines financial investment with active support, leveraging Ship2B's acceleration programs and networks to enhance the growth and impact of its portfolio companies.
