Eric Hahn
Overview
Eric Hahn is an American angel investor and former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Netscape Communications Corporation. He is the founding partner of Inventures Group, a venture capital firm that has been actively involved in over 20 startups, including Red Hat, Zimbra, Posterous, Opsware, Proofpoint, and Good Technology. Hahn also served as a board member for BitGo and Rewarder, and as an advisor and board member for Prevoty. Prior to his venture capital career, Hahn founded Collabra Software in 1992, an early e-mail-based groupware company, which was acquired by Netscape in 1995. He became Netscape's CTO in 1997. Hahn holds a bachelor's degree and an honorary doctorate in computer science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. In addition to his professional endeavors, Hahn is a trustee of the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California. He resides in Palo Alto, California, with his wife, Elaine, and their two sons, Evan and Jeremy. Hahn's extensive experience in technology and venture capital has positioned him as a significant figure in the investment community, particularly in sectors such as cybersecurity, enterprise software, and artificial intelligence.
