Erik Rannala is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Mucker Capital, a venture capital firm based in Santa Monica, California. Before founding Mucker Capital, Erik was at Harrison Metal Capital, where he helped lead one of the original seed-stage 'micro-VC' firms in Silicon Valley. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Global Product Strategy and Development at TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel site. Erik also held various positions at eBay, including leadership of eBay’s premium features business, which grew to over $400 million in revenue during his tenure. Earlier in his career, he worked at MVP.com, Accenture, and served at the Domestic Policy Council in the White House. Erik holds a BS from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Duke University. Under his leadership, Mucker Capital has invested in over 50 technology startups, including The Black Tux, ServiceTitan, Surf Air, Retention Science, and BloomNation. The firm has seen several early exits, including Wallaby Financial (acquired by Bankrate), Blayze (acquired by Vobile), and Trunk Club (acquired by Nordstrom).
