Eriko Suzuki

Eriko Suzuki is a venture capital investor based in Tokyo, Japan, focusing on sectors such as education, healthcare, and artificial intelligence. She has a diverse background, having grown up in the United States, Canada, and the Middle East, and graduated cum laude from McGill University. Eriko began her career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and UBS, where she worked on large-scale mergers and acquisitions, global offerings, and initial public offerings. In 2015, she established the Japan office of a Silicon Valley-based drone startup, serving as its country manager. In 2016, Eriko transitioned into venture capital, becoming the Director of the Investment Group at Mistletoe Inc., a social impact-focused venture capital firm founded by Taizo Son. She later served as a General Partner at Fresco Capital, a global venture capital firm. Eriko was also a founding member and Managing Director of MPower Partners, Japan's first ESG-focused venture capital firm. Her investment interests include wellness, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, and she has been involved in various initiatives promoting sustainability and collective well-being. Beyond her professional roles, Eriko is an author and community leader. She authored 'How We Live, Will Be How We Work' (Daiwa Shobo, 2018) and translated 'Mission Economy: A Moonshot Guide to Changing Capitalism' by Mariana Mazzucato (NewsPicks Publishing, 2021). She is the founder of Future Females Japan, a community for women creating the future, and serves as a board member of Tokyo Women in VC, an organization aimed at fostering collaboration among women in the venture capital industry across Japan. Eriko is also a mother of two children.
