Estonian Business Angels Network

Overview

Estonian Business Angels Network (EstBAN), established in late 2012, is a member-led organization committed to finding, funding, and mentoring ambitious young companies from pitch through to a successful exit. The network aims to grow the quantity and quality of local seed-stage investments in Estonia and its neighboring regions. EstBAN is a full member of the European Trade Association for Business Angels, Seed Funds, and other Early Stage Market Players (EBAN) and the Estonian Venture Capital Association (EstVCA). EstBAN offers a platform for investors to access quality pre-selected international deal flow and be part of a unicorn mindset startup investor community. For startups, EstBAN serves as a bridge between friends and family funding and venture capital, providing capital, experience, mentoring, and connections. The network organizes monthly pitch and networking events, matchmaking events, and syndicated investment rounds, allowing startups to raise larger amounts of capital and gain exposure. By the end of 2024, EstBAN members reported investments totaling €15.8 million across 414 deals. The most frequently mentioned companies in these investments were Esgrid, Nanordica Medical, Fleetfox, Vectiopep, Lightcode Photonics, Cino, and Pactum AI. This track record underscores EstBAN's commitment to fostering innovation and supporting the growth of early-stage companies in the region.
