Færchfonden

Overview

Færchfonden is a Danish charitable foundation established in 1984 by Kirsten and Jørgen Færch. The foundation is dedicated to making a difference for the Færch family and the Nordvestjylland region by supporting initiatives that enhance the area's entrepreneurship, growth, and attractiveness. It focuses on four main areas: business development, entrepreneurship, culture, and education. Through these efforts, Færchfonden aims to contribute to making Nordvestjylland a great place to live, work, and visit. The foundation's strategy involves funding projects that promote initiative, entrepreneurship, and innovation within its focus areas. It supports a wide range of sectors, including technology, healthcare, real estate, financial services, education, culture, social services, environmental services, agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, energy, telecommunications, media, and construction. Færchfonden provides grants to both established organizations and emerging ventures, with a particular emphasis on early-stage and growth-stage projects. Færchfonden's investment philosophy centers on fostering sustainable development and social responsibility. It seeks to create lasting positive impacts in the Nordvestjylland region by funding projects that align with these values. The foundation's track record includes supporting various initiatives that contribute to the region's economic and cultural development, as well as its social welfare and environmental sustainability. Færchfonden does not support projects such as study trips, book publications, music recordings, film productions, or similar endeavors. It also does not fund private individuals or private companies as a general rule. The foundation processes applications five times a year, with specific deadlines for each round of funding.
