Previously, he was the founder and CEO of Flipagram (now TikTok), a pioneering visual storytelling app that empowered users to create short musical videos from their personal photos and video clips. Flipagram was the fastest-growing app of all time, reaching hundreds of millions of downloads before being acquired by ByteDance to become a foundational part of TikTok. Prior to Flipagram, Farhad founded BizRate.com in 1996 and Shopzilla in 2003, leading both to profitability as essential shopping services used by millions of online shoppers. Farhad holds an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School and a Double B.S. in Mathematics/Applied Science and Economics with a specialization in Computing from UCLA.
