Overview
FiBAN is a non-profit association of private investors on a mission to inspire private investments. The network is one of the largest and most active business angel networks in the world with over 650 approved members. Our three main activities consist of matchmaking of startups and investors, sharing of best practices, and representing the interest of private investors. Our vision is to become the world’s leading private-investors’ network and make Finland the best country in the world for growth-company investing. Our values guide our everyday operations: Integrity, Cooperation, Independence, and Responsibility. FiBAN was founded by the initiative of business angels Juha Kurkinen and Ari Korhonen in 2010. The initial event was arranged in cooperation with Risto Kalske from Sitra. The activity started with the gathering of the following business angels 7th of December 2010. The activity was coordinated by Claes Mikko Nilsen (prev. Nieminen). FiBAN is a non-profit association of private investors on a mission to inspire private investments.
